What it does. Launched on 22 September 2025 for Perplexity Max subscribers, it works inside Gmail and Outlook. It labels messages, drafts replies matching the user's writing style, sends daily summaries and finds meeting times, sending invites itself. Perplexity says emails are never used to train its models.
Where it falls short. It needs permission to read and send email, see contacts and change calendars, which raises privacy questions. VentureBeat cites a TechCrunch review of Perplexity's related Comet assistant that found it fell apart on complex requests, with wrong dates on bookings, and that review concerned Comet, not this tool. Neither article says whether replies need approval before sending.
