Martin
Martin is a standalone general AI agent from Martin (Y Combinator S23 company). A personal assistant you reach by phone, text, WhatsApp, email or Slack that handles your inbox, calendar and reminders and makes calls for you. Nearfi's Agent Index rates its autonomy 4/5 (multi-step on its own): it drafts and replies to email, manages calendars and phones or texts people to book things, and Pro adds background tasks; it is not 5 because the docs do not show a standing mandate beyond those tasks. Status: live; 0 incident(s) logged.

Why 4: it drafts and replies to email, manages calendars and phones or texts people to book things, and Pro adds background tasks; it is not 5 because the docs do not show a standing mandate beyond those tasks.
What it does. Martin's docs say it checks your inbox and drafts replies, manages your calendar, texts and calls others on your behalf to book reservations or events, sets reminders and keeps a to-do list. It connects to Gmail, Outlook, Google, Apple and Outlook calendars and Slack. The Pro plan adds background tasks such as email triage, proactive drafts and daily digests.
Where it falls short. The docs do not say whether Martin asks permission before sending or booking, and privacy, terms and FAQ pages returned errors when a reviewer checked; no SOC 2 report was found. The only detailed review, from eesel, was written by a competitor, and independent user feedback is sparse and mostly from 2024.
