The findings

What it does. Slackbot was rebuilt as an agent powered by Anthropic's Claude and reached Business+ and Enterprise+ customers in January 2026. Slack says it searches your Slack history, connected apps and the web, builds repeatable workflows, creates and updates CRM records and works with tools such as Jira, Figma, Salesforce and Docusign, mostly through MCP. On 31 March 2026 Salesforce added more than 30 capabilities, including shareable skills and meeting capture through the desktop app.

Where it falls short. The Next Web calls the desktop agent, which watches screen activity to suggest follow-ups, the feature with the largest privacy surface. Business+ has a weekly message cap, and it is not clear from the sources whether saved skills run without a confirmation each time.
