Microsoft Scout
Microsoft's always-on work agent, announced 2 June 2026, which schedules meetings, prepares materials and flags risks across Teams and Outlook.

Why 4: Microsoft says it works in the background across Teams, Outlook and calendars without being prompted each time, but it is in private preview and we found no hands-on test, so we rate what it can be shown to do, with sensitive actions open to human sign-off; not 5 until its unprompted running is seen in use.
What it does. Scout runs under its own governed Entra identity and works across Teams, Outlook, OneDrive and SharePoint, with the desktop app extending it to the browser, local resources and MCP servers. Microsoft says it can coordinate meetings across time zones, block calendar time for deliverables and prepare meeting materials, and that Purview policies are applied before anything is sent or written. It is based on the open-source OpenClaw.
Where it falls short. Access needs Frontier enrolment, Intune policy configuration, an opt-in attestation and a GitHub Copilot licence to install the desktop app. PC World's piece contained no hands-on testing, and Microsoft's page gives no price or usage limits.
