Did Humans come true?
Humans got the social weather right: the adult setting nobody mentions in the showroom, the anger at machines that take the work, the strange new argument about whether software can suffer. It got the hardware wrong. The synth in the kitchen is still a factory worker with a remote supervisor.

How this P(n) was calculated
Each prediction is weighted 1–5 by how pivotal it is to the story: 5 is the core premise, 1 is background detail. Arrived scores 1, arriving 0.5, everything else 0. P(n) is the weighted points divided by the total weight.

HUM-1
Humanoid robots do paid physical work alongside people, on ordinary shifts.
Weight 5/5 · Core premise: synths as everyday workers and servants are the show's world.
In the show synths pick fruit, staff shops and clean homes. In reality a Figure humanoid worked 10-hour weekday shifts on a BMW line for months, and Boston Dynamics' Atlas is in customer pilots with Hyundai. These are single deployments with careful engineering around them, not a labour force. 12

HUM-2
Companion machines ship with an adult mode that owners can switch on.
Weight 3/5 · Supporting: Joe's use of Anita's adult options is a memorable first-series subplot.
Joe's decision to unlock Anita's 'adult options' is the show's most queasy and most accurate scene. In software the setting is here: OpenAI said in October 2025 it would allow erotica for verified adults, and regulators were already acting against romantic companion apps. The embodied version is still mostly a niche. 34

HUM-3
Public anger at automation turns physical and organised: machines are attacked in the street and unions write limits on machines into contracts.
Weight 3/5 · Supporting: anti-synth anger is a recurring thread shaping events across series.
The show's anti-synth activists have real cousins. Hollywood writers won contract limits on AI in 2023, and driverless cars have been vandalised and burned in San Francisco and Los Angeles. The motives are mixed: Waymo said it did not believe its cars were deliberately targeted in Los Angeles. 567

HUM-4
Whether machines can be conscious, and what we would owe them if they were, becomes a live institutional question.
Weight 4/5 · Major: whether conscious synths deserve rights is the central theme of series two and three.
Synth rights drive the show's second and third series. In 2025 a frontier AI company launched a model-welfare research programme, while Microsoft AI's chief warned that 'seemingly conscious AI' would lead people to campaign for AI rights and argued against building it. The debate has arrived; the conscious synth has not. 89
