What it does. Launched on 20 March 2026 and described by Starling as the UK's first agentic AI financial assistant, it works from typed or voice prompts. It can set up savings goals with automatic transfers into a Space, create Spaces for budget categories with payday transfers, organise bill payments, and help with card reordering, Apple Pay setup and gambling blocks. It runs on Google Gemini on Google Cloud, and Starling says customer data stays in its Google Cloud environment and is not used for training.
Where it falls short. Starling's release does not say whether customers confirm each action, nor give limits on transfers. Coverage of the scope of its actions largely repeats the bank's announcement. Customers must opt in.
