Ramp Agents
Ramp Agents is an in-app vertical AI agent from Ramp. Finance agents inside Ramp that read a company's expense policy, approve low-risk expenses and flag the rest. Nearfi's Agent Index rates its autonomy 4/5 (multi-step on its own): it approves low-risk expenses on its own and logs a rationale for audit; it is not 5 because it escalates the rest and admins set how autonomous it is. Status: live; 0 incident(s) logged.

Why 4: it approves low-risk expenses on its own and logs a rationale for audit; it is not 5 because it escalates the rest and admins set how autonomous it is.
What it does. Announced on 9 July 2025, Ramp's first agents build a reasoning graph from a company's expense policy and past approvals. They approve low-risk expenses, recommend decisions on others, flag suspicious receipts and invoices, and answer employee policy questions over Slack, email or SMS. Every decision is logged with a rationale and admins can override. Businesses can move from recommendations to autonomous approvals.
Where it falls short. Ramp's figures, such as catching 15 times more out-of-policy spend and 99% accuracy, are its own and unverified. Neither source defines 'low-risk'. Procurement, reconciliation and budgeting agents were roadmap items at launch.
