Limbic Access
Limbic Access is a platform vertical AI agent from Limbic. A chatbot on NHS Talking Therapies websites that takes a self-referral and sorts the person into the likely condition for clinicians. Nearfi's Agent Index rates its autonomy 3/5 (multi-step, with approval): it runs the whole self-referral conversation and triages the person into a pathway, which clinicians then review. It is not a 4 because a clinician does the assessment; it is above 2 because it carries out several steps itself. Status: live; 0 incident(s) logged.

Why 3: it runs the whole self-referral conversation and triages the person into a pathway, which clinicians then review. It is not a 4 because a clinician does the assessment; it is above 2 because it carries out several steps itself.
What it does. Limbic Access greets visitors to an NHS Talking Therapies service's website, guides them through a self-referral and uses machine learning to classify which of the eight common conditions the service treats they may have. The result goes to the service to support the clinician's assessment. Limbic says it holds Class IIa UKCA medical-device certification for this use, granted in January 2023, and its 2026 releases describe a wider clinical AI assistant, Limbic Care.
Where it falls short. It is an intake and triage tool and not therapy; Limbic describes it as supporting the human-led clinical assessment. The 93% accuracy and the referral-outcome figures are the company's own, from its 2023 announcement, and the pages opened give no crisis-handling details. It is not a substitute for crisis support: anyone in urgent need should use NHS 111 or emergency services.
