# Slackbot (Salesforce (Slack))

Slackbot is an in-app vertical AI agent from Salesforce (Slack). Slack's rebuilt assistant that researches, drafts, schedules and updates records in connected apps from inside Slack. Nearfi's Agent Index rates its autonomy 3/5 (multi-step, with approval): it plans and carries out multi-step work across Slack and connected apps, such as updating CRM records and building workflows, and Slack says agentic actions require human approval; it is not 4 because of that approval, and not 2 because it chains steps. Status: live; 0 incident(s) logged.

- Category: Work & office · vertical · In-app
- What it does: Slackbot was rebuilt as an agent powered by Anthropic's Claude and reached Business+ and Enterprise+ customers in January 2026. Slack says it searches your Slack history, connected apps and the web, builds repeatable workflows, creates and updates CRM records and works with tools such as Jira, Figma, Salesforce and Docusign, mostly through MCP. On 31 March 2026 Salesforce added more than 30 capabilities, including shareable skills and meeting capture through the desktop app.
- Limits: The Next Web calls the desktop agent, which watches screen activity to suggest follow-ups, the feature with the largest privacy surface. Business+ has a weekly message cap, and it is not clear from the sources whether saved skills run without a confirmation each time.
