ServiceNow Arc is an in-app vertical AI agent from ServiceNow. A long-running personal work agent for employees that plans and carries out assignments across email, Teams and ServiceNow. Nearfi's Agent Index rates its autonomy 4/5 (multi-step on its own): it takes a goal, plans, acts across work apps, checks its own output and can run for hours or days, within IT-set permissions; it is not 5 because it works from assigned goals. - What it does: Arc, generally available since 21 October 2026 as part of ServiceNow EmployeeWorks, takes a goal, builds a plan, acts, checks its progress and surfaces unfinished work from the inbox, backlog and meetings. If no connector fits it can write an integration. IT sets policies in the Super Intelligence Control Tower, enforced by NVIDIA OpenShell.
- Limits: Some governance pieces, including AI Passport enforcement, are not yet available. eWEEK noted that cited research does not establish Arc's accuracy or savings, and errors could leave approvals unfinished or records wrong. Windows support has not shipped.
