# Copilot Actions in Edge (Microsoft)

Copilot Actions in Edge is an in-app vertical AI agent from Microsoft. A preview feature of Edge's Copilot Mode that carries out web tasks for you, such as booking a table or unsubscribing from emails. Nearfi's Agent Index rates its autonomy 3/5 (multi-step, with approval): it can run several actions in sequence from a typed or spoken request, such as a restaurant reservation or unsubscribing from emails, and the user can pause or stop it. It is not 4 because it is a preview and the coverage opened does not describe a confirmation step either way. Status: beta; 0 incident(s) logged.

- Category: Browser · vertical · In-app
- What it does: Announced in Microsoft's October 2025 Copilot update, Actions takes typed or spoken instructions and completes them in the browser, including multi-step requests. It sits beside Journeys, which groups past browsing by topic. Copilot uses browsing history only with the user's permission.
- Limits: Both eWeek and MacRumors describe it as a preview limited to US users who opt in. Neither says whether Actions asks before each step, and the sources date from October 2025, so its current status is unconfirmed; no Microsoft page loaded to check.
