Copilot Actions in Edge
Copilot Actions in Edge is an in-app vertical AI agent from Microsoft. A preview feature of Edge's Copilot Mode that carries out web tasks for you, such as booking a table or unsubscribing from emails. Nearfi's Agent Index rates its autonomy 3/5 (multi-step, with approval): it can run several actions in sequence from a typed or spoken request, such as a restaurant reservation or unsubscribing from emails, and the user can pause or stop it. It is not 4 because it is a preview and the coverage opened does not describe a confirmation step either way. Status: beta; 0 incident(s) logged.

Why 3: it can run several actions in sequence from a typed or spoken request, such as a restaurant reservation or unsubscribing from emails, and the user can pause or stop it. It is not 4 because it is a preview and the coverage opened does not describe a confirmation step either way.
What it does. Announced in Microsoft's October 2025 Copilot update, Actions takes typed or spoken instructions and completes them in the browser, including multi-step requests. It sits beside Journeys, which groups past browsing by topic. Copilot uses browsing history only with the user's permission.
Where it falls short. Both eWeek and MacRumors describe it as a preview limited to US users who opt in. Neither says whether Actions asks before each step, and the sources date from October 2025, so its current status is unconfirmed; no Microsoft page loaded to check.
